Being the mom of an energetic toddler is fun, but also challenging. During the summer I grew a whole new appreciation for teachers of pre-schoolers and stay-at-home moms. So when we got to the "witching hour" of the day I feel back on what I know best...music! We would sing and dance to anything from "The Ency Wency Spider" to Luke Bryan. I would make up songs for brushing her teeth at night, washing her hands after getting home, and even walking up the stairs. She soon feel into a dependable routine with happy songs throughout the day to keep a smile on her face.
Age Level: Pre-school: So, my Music @ Home song for this week is the song we used for walking up the stairs, it's to the tune of row row row your boat: "Up, up, up we go Up the stairs we go One, by one we'll get there soon Up the stairs we go." |
